The people of La Herradura always seem to have a smile on their face here. Just this morning I stepped out onto the street for my morning run and was stretching my calf by pushing against a palm tree. An old woman walked by and told me that what I was doing was dangerous because that type of tree was very weak and could easily be pushed over thereby killing a passerby on the street. I expressed shock and stopped what I was doing immediately. She burst out laughing with a toothless grin and said "BROMA" (joke). She got me!
